Windsor Press upgrades Total Advertising, adds Classified, and Moves to Vision Data ASP Server.

January 18, 2009 - Hamburg, PA – The Windsor Press, a long-time user of the Vision Total Advertising system, has just completed a major upgrade to their system, adding seats and activating the classified functionality of the system. The Windsor Press has also opted to replace their outdated server by moving to the increasingly attractive time-share option, via the Internet, of the Vision Data Application Service Provider (ASP) central facility in Rensselaer, NY for all of their business functions.

According to Matt Figard of The Windsor Press, “The Vision Data ASP application is ideal for smaller papers or those who want to save the cost and distraction of an on-site IT function. It allows to focus more directly on our primary job of producing viable, interesting print and on-line products.”

“With Classified activated, The Windsor Press will finally, after nearly ten years of using it, see the full power of the Vision Total Advertising system,” said Colleen Golden, manager of Vision Data’s Total Advertising department. The upgrade in the basic system will also allow them to take advantage of features like expanded e-mail marketing, on-screen credit card verification and electronic tearsheets.

The Windsor Press will also use the Vision Retail Ad Layout system to design and layout the pages, and the classified pages will be created and the ads placed on the pages via the Vision Classified Pagination system.

In commenting on the actual upgrade and installation, Figard commented in a recent email: "The Vision staff has been terrific and I greatly appreciate all the help we're getting. We couldn't have finer people working with us on this. Thanks so much!" "Overall," he added, "the training has gone much faster than expected and our people were treated with respect and have had all of their questions answered."
