RENSSELAER, NY – Vision Data Equipment Corporation, this week completed upgrades to their physical plant facility that insures continued operation, in the event of a natural disaster.
Vision Data is housed in a wholly-owned 100% occupied facility with offices on three floors and its own private parking lot, providing a great control of building security. Vision Data is also one of the most financially secure and durable publication software firms in existence today, with a 30+ year single U.S. ownership history of a steadily increasing customer base since its inception in 1973. With no long-term debt on the balance sheet and an ongoing annual base of support income of over one million dollars per year, Vision Data has built a solid staff of industry professionals, including former publishers and industry experts with hundreds of years of combined programming and publishing experience. Over 50% of Vision Data employees have more than a dozen years each of experience at Vision Data.
“With the recent addition of our new on-site natural gas generator, which automatically supports the electrical energy and telephone needs of our facility in the event of a power loss, we have completed a major step in safeguarding the investment newspapers have made in Vision Data’s cutting-edge publication software systems”, commented Thomas A. Dempsey, company president.
“Earlier steps in this area have included the installation of three T-1 lines into our building plus high speed cable connections to allow unparalleled customer support and time-sharing. Any publication can now run their newspaper from Vision Data’s site on a full-time or backup basis with short notice over our own ASP servers, with the security of knowing that we will continue to function, even in the event of a power failure”, continued Dempsey.
Vision Data Equipment Corp. has been serving publishers since 1975, and remains the longest running exclusive provider of publication software worldwide, with over 1,500 users. Vision Data has corporate offices in upstate New York, with remote offices in the South and Midwest, and remains focused on research and development to provide new and existing customers with the most reliable, innovative, and revenue-minded software solutions.
