May 2, 2012 - RENSSELAER, NY – Hersam-Acorn Newspapers, Ridgefield, CT, a group of over 35 publications in CT, MA, VT, & NY and a long-time user of Vision Data systems, has signed an agreement to add 25 additional Vision Total Advertising seats, consolidate to a new central server and add the entire VisionWeb Suite of the industry’s most advanced Web tools.

When asked about the decision Martin V. Hersam, Chief Operating Officer of Hersam-Acorn said “Over the years, Vision Data has been unsurpassed for performance reliability and the quality of their support. These factors have given them the clear edge over other software providers in our eyes.” He Continued “While exploring web options, we have found none that match the VisionWeb Suite.”

The VisionWeb Suite advertising pieces being added to the Hersam-Acorn system include:

VisionWeb Internet Classified Ad Placement System allows individuals and businesses to place and pay for print and web ads from their computer, 24/7. The system allows for direct ad entry through a series of easy to use drop-down windows and produces multiple “up-sell” proofs with complete pricing so that they can choose the format they prefer and charge it directly to their credit card or commercial account. The ad is placed in a Total Advertising System queue so it can be reviewed for publication. Pricing, upsell and fielded data options are stored within the Vision Total Advertising System eliminating interfaces and duplicate rating structures.

VisionWeb Commercial Account Management System A commercial advertiser can review their advertising history, payment history and contracts, make an Internet payment or pay a specific invoice, or even re-schedule a previously run display ad or actually place a new ad. This is handled through a secure web server where the business has a secure password protected pin number giving them access to their own account information.

VisionWeb Remote SalesManager A complete sales, CRM and ad order entry system that empowers the rep with full remote access to full live information on their own accounts, through direct browser access to Vision Total Advertising. It allows them to review activity, post payments, enter new prospects, submit ads and artwork without needing to return to the office. Access can be via any tablet, Smart Phone, laptop, or the customer’s computer. Full reporting on all systems is generated directly through Vision Total Advertising.

Hersam-Acorn Newspapers is also enhancing their Vision Data Circulation Management System with the addition of VisionWeb Subscription Management, which allows individuals to purchase or manage their subscription via the Internet from their computer. A customer may start or renew a subscription, temporarily stop one for vacation, make a credit card payment, log a complaint or report a delivery error, or change their address, phone number. Entries made via VisionWeb are ready to be simply released into the Vision Circulation Management System.

The system installation is scheduled to be completed by early summer.
