May 3, 2010 - Birmingham, Alabama - Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. (CNHI) today announced the installation of a new Vision Total Advertising classified advertising sales and sales management system, and Vision Classified Pagination system from Vision Data of Rensselaer, NY.
The systems will be added to their Vision Total Advertising system for display ad billing, accounts receivable, and retail sales management already in place at The Free Press, a 24,000 circulation daily newspaper located in Mankato, MN. The addition creates a totally unified single database system in which print and web orders for display and classified are entered from the same screen and managed through a single set of rate tables.
Ad orders will be entered into the system, on a single entry screen for all advertising. The system generates sales data, calculates commissions, creates layout manifests, drives Vision Classified Pagination, and produces the industry’s most flexible and comprehensive reporting.
According to Thomas A. Dempsey, president of Vision Data, “CNHI chose Vision Data for this project because of the success they have already experienced with Vision Data installations and the positive ROI other installations have provided.” The solid accounting strength that underlies all of the software and our proven ability to get projects done professionally and in a timely manner were also major factors.
Vision Data Equipment Corp. has been serving publishers since 1975, and remains the longest running exclusive provider of publication software worldwide, with over 1,500 users. Vision Data's newspaper applications include Display Advertising, Classified Advertising, Layout and Classified Pagination, Web Entry, Circulation and General Ledger.
