July 23, 2008 - Findlay, Ohio – The Findlay Publishing Co., publishers of The Findlay (OH) Courier, (21,000 daily) and The Review Times, Fostoria, OH (4,000 daily), this month is beginning installation of a new 19-user Vision Data Total Advertising system, which will put both their classified sales and display advertising billing in a single common graphical relational database. They will also be adding the VisionWeb Suite for Home Order Entry of classified ads, linked directly into the new Vision Total Advertising system. They are also adding the VisionWeb Suite for individual Circulation Account Management, which will link to their current Vision Data Circulation Management system. The whole system will continue to feed into their existing Vision Data Accounts Payable/General Ledger system for general accounting purposes.
“The new Vision Total Advertising system will replace our current Vision Data 4GL Classified and 3GL Display Ad Billing and Accounts Receivable systems, which have served The Courier very well for several years,” said James R. Ford, Manager - Information Technology. “We did look around at other systems, but decided to continue our relationship with Vision Data because of their stability, dependability and the functionality offered by their Vision Total Advertising system. Years and years of good customer service also played a part in our decision.”
Classified & display ads will be entered directly into the system, which will provide classified composition with full graphics capabilities and perform billing and accounting functions for all ads. The system allows the direct faxing or e-mailing of classified proofs as well as the option of e-mailing bills on an individual account basis. The system will also provide the basis for ad tracking and a broad spectrum of sales and marketing tools with an almost unlimited variety of sales management reports.
According to Vision Data president, Thomas A. Dempsey, “Vision Data has built our business by truly serving the needs of long-time customers like Findlay Publishing Co. We’re very pleased that they have decided to continue and expand their investment with Vision Data and look forward to continuing to work with them to grow their business.”
